Animating Sprites

• Animation is the changing of an image over time.

• The most common types of animation involve moving a sprite on

the Stage and using a series of cast members in the same

sprite.

• Other forms of animation include making a sprite smaller, larger,

rotate, change colors, or fade in and out.

• There are two techniques:

– Frame-by-frame animation

– Tweening animation
