Working with Contribute
Locate the Page you wish to Edit
The most common way to locate the page you wish to edit is to use Contribute in Browse mode and
navigate to the page you wish to edit. To do this, simply click on the links on the page as you would
in Internet Explorer until you reach the page you wish to edit.
If the page you wish to go back to is a page that you were editing earlier and which you saved in
draft form, or is a new page that you’ve created but haven’t yet published, you can simply click on its
title in the Pages panel on the left. This will open the draft of the page with Contribute in Edit mode.
If you wish to jump straight to a page that you recently published, you can use the File Recently
Published Pages drop down menu option.
You can also use Bookmarks in Contribute quickly to jump to any page. If you use Internet Explorer,
your IE favourites should be automatically added to your Bookmarks.
If you are familiar with the file names and folder structure of your web pages then they can be
located using the Choose button (Figure 11).

Edit the Page
Once you have located the page that you wish to edit, simply click the Edit Page button (Figure 12).

If you don’t have permission to edit the page, the Edit Page button will be greyed out, and a warning
will be displayed along the top of the Contribute Browse window (Figure 13).

If you do have permission to edit the page, click the Edit Page button and Contribute will download
the page from the server, create a draft of the page, and go into Edit Mode. You can now use
Contribute to make changes and additions to the page.
For more information on specific editing activities see the relevant section later in this document.
